A beautiful Christmas tree is one of the focal points of your holiday decorations, symbolizing the joy of Christmas and a time for family togetherness.
One of America's favorite family traditions is to bundle up and head out to the Christmas Tree farm to select the perfect tree, knowing that throughout the season, you'll also have the memories of this
very special outing.
The Beckwith Family knows how special this day can be, and that's why we developed the Christmas Tree Station, enhancing your outing with a visit to see the Christmas tree farm, a free cup of hot chocolate in the Warming Car, and an opportunity to tour the Christmas Caboose to help you complete your holiday decorating and gift purchases.
Your visit might begin with a free wagon ride down Candy Cane Lane to select the perfect Christmas Trees. We have Balsam Fir, Fraser Fir, Colorado Blue Spruce, Douglas Fir, Scotch Pine, Concolor Fir, Grand Fir, Canaan Fir, and the Nordsman Fir, some of which are freshly pre-cut and available at the station.
Spend as long as you wish selecting your tree(s)— some families hang a scarf or glove on their favorites—but don't forget to gather up your clothing when you've made your final selection! Every spring we find at least one glove
marking someone's favorite!
If you would like, we'll help you cut your tree and bring it up to the station. The tree trunk will then be trimmed and drilled for you, so it will stand well in the tree stand. We also "put it through the shaker" to knock off any loose needles caught in the branches, and then wrap it gently for safe handling to your home!
Soon, the home family can retire to the Warming Car for free hot chocolate and a chance to warm your toes. When you are ready, some of the kids may want to visit the
engineer's cab, and then everyone can head on through the train to the Christmas Caboose or out to the Whistle Stop Workshop.
The Caboose is a train car load of holiday fun, with candles, mailbox huggies, Kissing balls, decorations and much more, and outside in and around the Workshop, you'll find garland, centerpieces, wreaths, and still other greenery to decorate your home and office.
Be sure you bring your cameras for an annual photo in our sleigh, on the back of the caboose, or posed in front of our mighty engine! The Christmas Tree Station has many favorite photo locations to collect your family memories.
